1. Elon Musk's Anticipated Investment in India:

   Elon Musk, the visionary entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla, is set to make a significant investment in India. Speculations suggest an investment ranging between two to three billion dollars, primarily aimed at establishing a new manufacturing plant. This move marks Tesla's entry into the Indian market, the world's third-largest automotive market, with immense potential for electric vehicles.

 

2. India's Collaboration with Nvidia for GPU Distribution:

   India is contemplating a partnership with Nvidia, a leading US-based graphics processing unit (GPU) manufacturer. The objective is to procure GPUs and provide them at subsidized rates to local entrepreneurs, researchers, and academic institutions. This initiative is part of India's ambitious Artificial Intelligence Mission, aimed at bolstering the country's AI ecosystem with a ₹10,000 crore investment.

 

3. Kerala's One Health Initiative:

   The Kerala Health Department is pioneering comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) under its One Health effort. These SOPs aim to address at least eight infectious diseases that have triggered outbreaks. This initiative, a first of its kind in India, focuses on early disease surveillance, prevention, and control strategies at the district level.

 

4. Meta Platforms Introduces Meta AI:

   Meta Platforms, formerly known as Facebook, introduces its latest artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, Meta AI. Integrated into Meta's popular social networking and messaging platforms, Meta AI is powered by the advanced Llama 3 AI model. The objective is to provide users with an intelligent and free AI experience.

 

5. Successful Control of African Swine Fever in Kohima:

   The Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services department in Nagaland effectively suppressed African Swine Fever (ASF) in Kohima, the epicenter of the outbreak. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of strategic interventions in disease control.

 

6. India's Defence Export to Philippines:

   India is set to deliver its first batch of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to the Philippines, marking a significant milestone in India's defence exports. This delivery is part of a USD 375 million agreement between the two countries, signed in 2022.

 

7. Collaboration between IIT Kanpur and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS):

   A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between IIT Kanpur and AFMS to collaborate on research and development of technology addressing health challenges faced by troops in challenging environments. This partnership aims to leverage technological innovations for the well-being of armed forces personnel.

 

8. IREDA's Expansion in GIFT City, Gujarat:

   The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has established a branch in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar. This branch aims to provide debt financing in foreign currencies for projects related to green hydrogen and renewable energy, facilitating cost-effective financing options.
